Happy Halloween, mushroom enjoyers!... Well, I guess it's not Halloween yet, but we have some spooky treats for you anyways.

First order of business: we officially have a trailer now! We've spent a few months working on it on and off, and finally our labor has bore fruits. This will make marketing a little easier going forward!

This month we're also participating in the Queer Halloween Stories Bundle! Though Mushroom Musume is free, I believe that indie devs getting money so they can continue making cool games is a really noble cause. (And also, we need money to live!). For $60 (...less than the price of a single AAA game), you can support 80+ devs and get 100+ works of art (mostly games,  but also including some books, comics... even audio dramas!). Don't have $60? That's okay, I don't really either! A $10 version is also offered if that's more your speed (but with the same rewards!).

But wait, there's MORE. We've prepared some special treats for Mushroom Musume fans that are exclusive to the bundle... You may notice a new $500 text document that you can buy from our itch page............ but that file is given to you for free as part of the bundle! Observant viewers may have noticed our password system, I wonder if that's possibly related? I hear there's new colors, a unique event... There's even a new hat for your daughter! (Allegedly).

The new build we're uploading today has other small improvements too - it's sort of a soft rollout for a bigger update we have planned later this month. Sorry if you run into any bugs, we did some really big changes that are pretty much impossible to see from the surface but touch almost every line of text in the game! (BTW, did you know there's currently almost 160k words in Mushroom Musume? Wowza!)

You may not believe it, but we actually have one more piece of news for this log! The trailer was made in part because we wanted to start getting our Steam page set up. And that page... is up now! Don't worry, we'll never take Mushroom Musume off of Itch, but we wanted to expand our market reach a little. Plus... After the bigger update this month, we're going to start working on something big. We like having a free game for everyone to enjoy, but for those who want to financially support us directly we're also working on an expanded version with more girls, an expanded selection of events, and new persistent game mechanics that will give players more control and make secret-spelunking more focused!
